On the occasion of the International Women’s Day and to celebrate Qatari and French women, his Excellency the Ambassador of France to Qatar, Eric Chevallier, launched the first Qatari French networking program under the patronage of Mrs Aysha Al-Mudahka, CEO of Qatar Business Incubator Center (QBIC), that aims at creating bonds between Qatari and French women and encouraging Qatari Women to develop professional initiatives as well in all sectors of activity.

This event gathered talented Qatari and French women in all domains, arts and culture, business and entrepreneurship, science and humanities.
“In France and in Qatar we have remarkable women in all fields. I am honored to contribute to creating strong and lasting bonds between Qatari and French women. Our people have a lot to learn from each other”, said HE Eric Chevallier.

Aysha Al-Mudahka said "I am truly honored to be part of this noble initiative, and to represent the Qatari women who have made great achievements thanks to the support and vision of our government and leaders. We, at QBIC, support female entrepreneurs, and strive to provide them with a comfortable environment to help them realize their dreams of having their own startup businesses. At QBIC, we’ve already incubated some very successful startups, founded and run by Qatari women. Some of these businesses are: S’ishira, Namoona, HZ, and Faroula". She added: "The French Embassy has been a great supporter of women in Qatar, and this program represents only one of the many milestone initiatives they regularly provide for the women of our community, and we look forward to being part of this journey."

Next September 2016, the French Embassy will launch a call for projects. It will be opened to all Qatari women, active or students. A committee of French and Qatari women based in Doha will revise and select three winners that will be announced on the 8th of March 2017. The laureates will receive support from the most appropriate women of the network to achieve the project.
