GoodFrance : Let’s have a French dinner in Doha (13/03/2017)
For the third year running, on March 21st, 2017, Goût de France / Good France will bring together more than 2000 chefs on five continents to celebrate French cuisine. This event, organized in the form of a dinner, will honor the excellence of French cuisine, its capacity for innovation, and the values that it conveys: sharing, enjoyment, and respect for our peers, the planet, and the art of eating well.
The French Ambassador, Eric Chevallier, held a press conference at the Résidence de France for the third edition of Goût de France / Good France. The annual French event will take place on March 21st, 2017 in Doha , as a worldwide celebration of the excellence, creativity, and diversity of French cuisine.
Set in motion in 2015, when French cuisine was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, this event is an opportunity for chefs and restaurateurs to showcase recipes inspired by French expertise.
Drawing inspiration from Auguste Escoffier, who, in 1912, launched les Dîners d’Épicure as a way of introducing people to the excellence of French cuisine, Goût de France / Good France is revisiting this idea in collaboration with restaurants from the four corners of the Earth.
Along with the French Embassy, many restaurants in Doha will participate in this third edition.
Some of the greatest chefs of Doha will, in their own ways, give life to the words of the famous French Chef Alain Ducasse, according to which “French cuisine is the interpreter of a cuisine that has evolved towards lightness in harmony with its environment...”
Whether it is for a date, a night out among gastronome friends, or a family, and as the number of tables will be limited, book your dinner as of now, with the participating restaurants (see below).
