Seminar on Climate Change at Qatar University and Universciences Climate 360° Exhibition at Katara

« CLIMATE, the 360° Exhibition » is currently ongoing at the Katara Cultural Village, building 5.
This exhibition, organized by the French Embassy in Qatar, The Institut Français du Qatar and Universcience, within the framework of the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), comes in the form of photographs with explanatory texts which expose the problems raised by climate change and the possible solutions.


COP 21 in a few words.
Officially launched on the 30th of November, COP21 will bring together 40,000 participants – delegates, observers, and civil society members from 196 countries. They will meet at the Le Bourget in Paris until 11 December 2015 with the objective of reaching a universal, legally binding agreement that will enable us to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to limit global warming and accelerate the transition towards carbon free economies. The long term objective is to curb global warming of the Planet within a limit of 2°C by 2100.


Taking place until 22 December 2015 at Katara, The Universciences Exhibition came along with a seminar “Climate Change: Facts, Risks and Solutions”, which was held at Qatar University on 23 November in the presence and the participation of the French Ambassador to Qatar, M. Eric Chevallier, the President of Qatar University, scientists and students.
