Sheikh Ahmad Bin Nasser Al Thani presented with the distinction of Knight (Chevalier) of the French Legion of Honour.
Brigadier General, Sheikh Ahmad Bin Nasser Al Thani, Deputy Chief of Staff for Military Intelligence and Security was presented with the insignia of "Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur", following a decision of the President of the French Republic.
His Excellency the Ambassador of France in Qatar, Jean-Christophe Peaucelle, presented Brigadier General Sheikh Ahmad Bin Nasser Al-Thani with the insignia of Chevalier of the Legion of Honour on the 22nd of May 2012, during a ceremony at the French Residence. The French Defence Attaché, Colonel Pierre-Jacques Teisseire, french officers and NCOs present in Qatar and many generals and senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces attended the ceremony.
The Ambassador of France said this reward reflected the depth of bilateral cooperation between our two armies.
He also praised the crucial role of Brigadier General Ahmad Bin Nasser Al-Thani in military cooperation and more generally in the friendship between Paris and Doha that has been lasting for over forty years.
